The Only Homeless Recovery Shelter in Dallas with a Kennel for your Pets

A Safe Haven for You & Your Pet

Ensuring No One Has to Leave Their Companion Behind

At The Bridge, we want to remove as many barriers as possible that may keep someone from getting the help they need. In some areas of the country almost 25% of homeless individuals have a pet. And many of these individuals will not leave their pets behind. The Bridge ensures they won’t have to.

As the only shelter in the Dallas area with an onsite kennel,
The Bridge is serving a crucial role in serving the homeless population with pets who otherwise would not enter a shelter to begin their recovery.

Many homeless individuals state that they would feed their dog before feeding themselves. Their dogs are more than “a pet”. They are their family and their best friends. Many individuals may even qualify to register their dog as an Emotional Support Animal.
